Deep in my heart of Texas!

Being home is pretty cool … hmm.. but getting to see Carmen is a super bonus!!!
I didn’t start working right away after I got home. I really enjoyed lounging around with Carmen or her momo and crocheting or running errands!!!
My life with out Carmen would be so sad. I think we were instantly best friends. I’ve known her since 5th grade for me and 4th for her.
Her parents were my moms visiting and home teachers. My mom brought me over thinking I’d have fun with some little girl that was a grade below me and whom I had never met.
It was such a strange feeling meeting her. We didn’t really say much to each other but instantly I felt a connection to her. We bonded over Pokemon cards and how we were both really laid back. Carmen suggested that I ask my mom if I could spend the night.
As my mom and I drove off I told her about how Carmen wanted to know if I could spend the night.
She thought it seemed fine and as we were driving out of the coulder sack Carmen and her mom were out my the bric mail box waiving us down.
Her mom asked if I could spend the night some time.
Since the first time I’ve spend many years of sleep overs at their house.
I’ve practically grown up with Carmen. She’s been like a paternal twin. We’ve gone through all of our weird and silly stages together. We’ve been there for each other through the hard times and the great times! We’ve stuck together through distance and not being able to communicate as often.
I don’t have to impress her of call her a certain amount of times a month for her to feel like we are still friends. I don’t have to hide a weird quirk or pretend to like something for her. She knows pretty much all of my different attitudes and moods. I can always be myself around her which I can’t honestly be around anyone else.
She’s really smart and has always made great grades. She loves dressing for comfort. I love that she hasn’t changed her style because of other people suggestions. She is always true to herself. She always been so pretty and talented but has always been humble about it. She corrects Everyone’s grammar all the time. She is a video gaming- music loving- nick knack gathering- animals loving- kind hearted- level headed – girl.

For Halloween I was a Viking but most people though I was an opera singer or I was suppose to be from the train your dragon movie. Carmen was a character from Assassin’s Creed the medicine doctor. We made a funny looking group together. She scared some little kids while we took her nephew out trick or treating. It was pretty hilarious.
We carved pumpkins and Carmen’s mom made me decorate cookies. They turned out really cute and I didn’t want to eat them.
Scooter had babies!!! The little goaties are super cute!

Oh and my birthday came and went. I turned 22 this year. It just sounds so old.. I know it isn’t really and I probably have lots of more years to my life…but I still see myself as 18 and just starting out.
I got to decorate my cake which I’ve done for the past three year…and I knew about all my presents except a few because I got to pick them out. Last year I did the 21 monster and this year I did an elephant with my favorite pattern ( which is concentric circles…).

I’ve been getting into the swing of being home. I’ve spent some time with friends. I got to spend time at my sister’s house : D !!! I really like spending time with my sister. I feel sort of boring around her sometimes….well most of my family. It may be because I hold back a bit on my personality around just about everyone… and I don’t know.
Either way it is great that she was willing to let me bum there for as long as I did. It was great to see how the business is going! Yay for sisterly love!!! She is like a beam of sunshine she always seems to do her best to love everyone and brighten people’s day. I’m so proud of how hard her and her husband work in school and to make a living. Both my sister and her husband are great inspirations to me to do what I love and to find a way to make it work. Seeing how much they care about each other is cute too.
So bottom line: being home is wonderful!

Today I'm 20

For about 6 years I got use to being at my friend Carmen's house on my birthday. It never really feels like my birthday without all the dogs running around, an occasional over used birthday cake candle, random gifts that only Carmen would know that I wanted, the fact that I get to see more of my family, having carmen's silly family singing happy birthday to me, and just the sense that I'm home.

I've never really ever made a big deal about my brithday and I've made an even smaller deal about it since I moved to Idaho.

I had been packing the night before and couldn't sleep. So I decided to go watch the sun rise in an undisclosed area : ) ( which I got to by use of the bike my brother got me yesterday). I had figured that by the time I got home I would be dead tired...but I wasn't. I made pancakes and caught up on the Hero's tellie series.
Just the fact that I didn't work today made it great! I went over to Caleb's : ) ! He let me pick the movie...poor guy had to sit through Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2.
I ran some errands with my brother. My brother took me out to lunch and made me dinner and a cake! Later on I went to Cas' apartment and played games til ...along with Jason we went to see Flash of Genius. Before I left Trista gave me a cool hemp braclet that she made.

I know that everyone gets caught up in their lives and it's difficult to stay in touch. Today was a great reminder of everyone that cares. Thanks for all the calls, voice mails, and texts telling me to have a Happy Birthday.

my birthday a little early or so

So It had been a mystery as to where I was going last weekend. All I knew was that Cassie was taking me somewhere to celebrate me birthday, I needed a few days off, and she said I needed boots, a bathing suite, and warm clothes.
The morning I woke up Cassie texted me... ' you won't need boots'... later on I found out I wouldn't need warm clothes neither.
After a bit of set backs loaded with drinks and all our stuff we were on the road to Utah. That's right I found out we were going to Utah.

Unfortunetly my sleeping pattern has been messed up. You see I have ADD and when I can't get something off my mind I can't fall sleep til late... well not until the wee hours of the morning.I had also discovered my oil paints. I love the smell and made some random paintings. They still aren't at the point I want them to be at.... thusly that Night I hadn't slept. I fell asleep and randomly woke up and would talk to Cassie. Each time I awoke I was obviously a little bit closer. With time I fell asleep came a dream that only reminded me of everything I have been currently trying to get over. One of the things I love most in life is a good car ride. I was happy just to be on the road. That in it's self was a Great gift.

We made it to Utah and dropped our stuff off at the hotel. Saw the Salt Lake temple Then went to see the conference center. We were lucky to be taken to the ruff dirrectly ( well sorta).
After that we quickly snuck away from the tour... annnnd after what could have been hours we found a water park to go to. I was amazing I didn't really take any pictures because we were too busy having fun and going down the water slides ( not including the fact there was no where to keep the camera with me.) After that we rested up and visited some of Cassie's friends that had been recently married. Then went back to see the temple at night. We took some pictures then headed back to the hotel to eat icecream and fall alseep.

Originally I had thought the water park was the gift... it wasn't.
After driving I saw a sign for the Lagoon! WE spent all day there. We went on some crazy roller coasters. It was super hot so we headed off towards the water park part of the lagoon to cool down. We first had to get use to the temperature of the water that was much much much colder than the water park we were at the day before. AFter that we had lots of fun. I managed to keep hitting the wall in the wading pool and scraped me knee on the bottom ( the picture didn't get it justice it looked worse later on and stung super bad) Cassie had problems falling out of her tube one of the water slides that we repeatedlty rode. I had some Ice cream and Cassie had some fries and a drink I think and then we headed out for more rides! After a long day we had More ice cream and watched a movie. MOst def possibly one of my best birthdays ever.

It was great to get to be that night. It was horrible getting up and knowingly go back to Rexburg.
Reluctantly we did. Like usual we spend the time listen to super music, laughing for ever about our inside jokes and while having fun, and spent more time catching up on hanging out ( Cassie had been gone most of the 7 week break).
