So On the way to Gig Harbor Cassie and I got to stop at a Brandon Heath concert and sold merch.
Cassie and I took turns listening to the concert and manning the merch table ...all the while making some doodles. Brandon was really nice by staying afterward and signing cd's and lots of other random stuff for everyone that waited. After everything Brandon seemed really really tired and grogy I thought about asking for a picture but wasn't really sure what I'd do with it so I just asked him to sign my drawing.
I also said hi to Joe Moralez. He was really nice and played a great song. I look forward to if..and when his album comes out.

Today I'm 20

For about 6 years I got use to being at my friend Carmen's house on my birthday. It never really feels like my birthday without all the dogs running around, an occasional over used birthday cake candle, random gifts that only Carmen would know that I wanted,the fact that I get to see more of my family, having carmen's silly family singing happy birthday to me, and just the sense that I'm home.

I've never really ever made a big deal about my brithday and I've made an even smaller deal about it since I moved to Idaho.

I had been packing the night before and couldn't sleep. So I decided to go watch the sun rise in an undisclosed area : ) ( which I got to by use of the bike my brother got me yesterday). I had figured that by the time I got home I would be dead tired...but I wasn't. I made pancakes and caught up on the Hero's tellie series.
Just the fact that I didn't work today made it great! I went over to Caleb's : ) ! He let me pick the movie...poor guy had to sit through Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2.
I ran some errands with my brother. My brother took me out to lunch and made me dinner and a cake! Later on I went to Cas' apartment and played games til ...along with Jason we went to see Flash of Genius.Before I left Trista gave me a cool hemp braclet that she made.

I know that everyone gets caught up in their lives and it's difficult to stay in touch. Today was a great reminder of everyone that cares. Thanks for all the calls, voice mails, and texts telling me to have a Happy Birthday.

illustrating a story

About a year ago my friend took me out to the sand dunes for my birthday.
I got some gifts, ate pizza, and we talked about everything for a long time...
by then My friend had come to know and like my ability to tell little stories off the the top of my head.
He asked me to tell him one that night.
I made up this story about a boy who was really bored. He imagined that his pencil was a space ship and in the story the pencil took him to mars and ..there were aliens there who lived in a little dome town...
and well I forget the rest.
The story is basically about how the imagination can take you to new places...
by the end of the story you aren't really sure if the trip was just the boy's imagination or if it was real.
This painting is based from the story and also resembles how I miss the friend I told that story to.
The picture didn't some out as clearly as I wanted it to.
*It was his birthday on Halloween but He's out serving doing The BEST on a full time mission in the New England area.
